We offer three consultancy shapes — fixed-scope set-up, project-based engagements, and ongoing retainers. Each one is priced separately from your plan and tailored to the museum's actual workload, not a generic template. Tell us what you need on a 20-minute call and we'll come back with options.

Question 2

We want to have a fixed-term contract for consultancy services — how does it work after the contract is over?

Accepted Answer

After a fixed-term consultancy contract ends, your platform stays live on your chosen plan as usual. We continue to provide standard product support; consultancy is optional from there. If you decide later that you want it back — for a new project, a redesign, or a content sprint — you can re-engage on a new fixed-term contract with no penalty.

Question 3

We want a consultant for an ongoing support model for our collections management and website maintenance. How does it work?

Accepted Answer

Ongoing consultancy retainers are billed quarterly or annually, with a defined number of hours per month plus an agreed-upon scope of work. You get a named consultant, regular check-ins, and the right to roll unused hours into the next quarter. The retainer sits on top of your monthly plan.

Question 4

We are opening a new museum and want a consultant who works with us from ground zero — on digital collections strategy. Are you available for such services?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Pre-launch strategy consultancy is one of our most-requested engagements. We work alongside your curatorial, digital and leadership teams to design the digital experience before the museum opens, then transition into either a normal plan + retainer or a fully-custom Legacy engagement.

Question 5

We want a consultancy services contract for three months to begin with, and we're not sure whether we'll renew. Can we discuss it?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. A 3-month consultancy contract is a perfectly reasonable starting point — try us, see if the working style fits, and decide. There's no auto-renewal and no penalty for not continuing.

Why don't you show a single flat enterprise price?

Accepted Answer

Because a flat price would be misleading. A 4,000-object regional collection with one integration is a different project from a 28,000-object national museum with five — even though they're both 'one website'. The plan prices above are honest floors; the 20-minute call gets you the real number.

Question 7

Is there a setup fee on top of the plan?

Accepted Answer

Standard onboarding is included in your monthly fee for Gallery and Exhibition. For Legacy and for any plan with custom consultancy on top, onboarding is itemised separately so you can see exactly what you're paying for.

Question 8

How do payments work? Which currencies do you accept?

Accepted Answer

Monthly or annual invoice, paid upfront. EUR by default; we can invoice DKK, SEK, NOK or ISK on request, and we support Nordic public-sector procurement frameworks.

Question 9

What if we outgrow our plan mid-year?

Accepted Answer

You don't pay a penalty. We pro-rate the difference at the next renewal. Most museums move from Gallery to Exhibition once they ship their second public surface or hit the collection-size limit.

Question 10

Can we leave?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your data is yours — full SQL export, IIIF, RSS — anytime, no questions asked. There are no lock-in clauses anywhere in our contract. We earn renewals by being worth them.

Can our agency re-sell MuCoDi to our museum clients?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Agencies typically work with us in one of three shapes — referral, project co-delivery, or full reseller. We tailor the agreement to your model, with partner pricing built in. See our Partners page or contact us to discuss specifics.

What kind of partner margin can we expect?

Accepted Answer

Typical partner margin is in the 60–70% range on the platform line item in your client quote. The exact margin depends on the partnership shape, the scope of your contribution, and how much delivery you take on. We discuss this on the first call.

Question 14

Does MuCoDi compete with us for museum clients?

Accepted Answer

No. When you bring us a client, the relationship stays with you. We're under-the-floor technology — your brand on the proposal, the contract, the support call. We don't pitch over your head.

Question 15

What does the typical agency partnership timeline look like?

Accepted Answer

Most partnerships go from first call to first pitch in 2–3 weeks: discovery, partner-pricing agreement, joint pitch materials, then we co-write the technical sections of your next museum proposal. From signed deal, the first surface ships in roughly 8 weeks.

Can we contribute our own React components to the platform?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The Page Builder runs on Puck, and every component is a typed React component. Your developers can fork our defaults or ship completely custom ones. They live in your client's tenant only — your IP, your delivery.

Each active partner gets a named partnership lead at MuCoDi, regular roadmap previews, priority response on technical questions, joint pitch support when you ask for it, and access to our case-study and reference library to use in your proposals.
